Sleepy Sock

I used to LOVE having a Bed Buddy. Anyone have one? Here's what happened recently. Mike bought new snowboard boots & was heating up rice in a big sock, then using it to adjust the fit of his boots.

HELLLLLLLO??!!! Ding-Ding-Ding-Ding! Why didn't I think of this sooner! And just like that I started making cozy bedtime socks. For me, my kids & I've texted how to, to so many friends since. Here's the recipe. It's just so easy, cozy & soothing.

RECIPE

  • 2-3  Cups of uncooked white rice (depending on how big the sock is)
  • 6 drops of lavender oil & 4 drops of peppermint oil

(this is pretty strong. Cut back if you're not as oily-freaky as me!)

  • Stir in a stainless bowl & carefully scoop it into the sock.
  • Tie it off with kitchen twine.

If you're good at sewing, that go get cute fabric & go for it. I happen to like that you can cut the twine off & add oils or change out the rice. The tie is great! :D

Variation:
Use Eucalyptus & Tea Tree when dealing with a cold & flu.

Make it, like & share!
